Happy new year! I think it’s still okay to say that almost a week into 2021. Never one to sit back and relax, Meet Hugo is already up and running in the new year with six new starters joining our team as we set about hitting our targets and making more waves in 2021. After an incredibly successful 2020 despite everything going on in the world, the Meet Hugo team is continuing to build on the platform laid over the last twelve months by bringing in six immensely talented people to fill new positions in our tech, research, marketing and sales departments.
The new appointments follow-on from the news that the Meet Hugo management team had been restructured in November, enabling departments to grow and provide opportunities for additional internal promotions.
CEO and Founder Ben Harper, who is now overseeing a company with 44 members of staff on the payroll compared to 8 at the same point in 2020, said “We’re delighted to have strengthened the team yet again and look forward to getting all of our new starters settled in as quickly as possible. 2020 was an incredible year for us as a business and we hope to make 2021 even better.”
Joining the sales team is Peter Ball. He has experience working in a number of areas and will bring his ability to speak German and sell into the German market to enable us to reach out to a wider audience on the continent.
Fraser Sturgess is the latest addition to our in-house research department. Fraser will add extra value to our team of researchers enabling us to bring even more high quality leads in for our subscribers.
Our marketing department is boosted by the arrival of Hannah Mitchell. Having previously worked at Mediacom in Birmingham following her graduation from University, Hannah is joining us as a marketing executive and is bringing her experience from social media marketing and advertising to our growing marketing team, helping to expand our social presence and grow the Meet Hugo brand.
It is the tech team who have been bolstered most with three new starters. Efren Petarte, Karlo Macasaet and Jovert Palonpon have all joined Scott’s team as full-stack developers and will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, enabling us to improve our offering to subscribers and the internal team and ensuring that the Meet Hugo product is as user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing as possible.
