After an incredible year of success there is no stopping Meet Hugo right now. With an influx of both clients and staff the team had outgrown their office at the Brightfield Business Hub on the outskirts of Peterborough and have now moved to a newly-converted location of our own near the town of Oundle in Cambridgeshire.
While geographically the move isn’t too far from the previous office, the Warmington Mill premises is a huge step forwards for Meet Hugo who are now future-proofed with space for up to 70 employees – although CEO Ben Harper expects every seat to be filled within a matter of months based on the current trajectory.
“It’s been an incredible year for us as a company really,” he said. “We made a bold decision to keep the company running throughout the current pandemic and nobody was put on furlough, this has allowed us to keep working from home – and for a period in the office – and it’s paid dividends for us. Not only have we kept people in employment, we’ve actually grown by a huge amount and are delighted to have moved forwards with our move to Warmington Mill.”
Warmington Mill itself is a historic, Grade II listed building that covers 3,966 sq.ft meaning there is ample room for further hires. A former water mill which was converted in the mid-1900s, Warmington Mill today sits on the beautiful River Nene meaning there is plenty of outdoor space for the Meet Hugo team to enjoy during breaks in the summer months.
The team moved into the new premises at the start of November and it already feels like home. Inside the building has been divided into three floors with the internal sales department taking residence on the top floor, while the remainder of the company is spread across the ground and first floors in an open-plan layout complete with kitchen and a stylish meeting room.
